Research

Gene delivery and production of transgenic mice are becoming increasingly important in every aspect of basic and applied research with many transgenic mice strains serving as important disease models. Our lab’s research focuses on devising novel gene delivery and reproductive techniques which facilitate more efficient production of transgenic animals and more predictable transgene integration while at the same time implementing the 3R principles for responsible animal experimentation.

Core Topics:

Genome Engineering

Advancing CRISPR Technology

Our research aims at establishing novel delivery methods, enhancing transgene insertion rates and improving the screening and validation procedures for generated transgenic animals.

Animal Welfare

Gene-Technology for 3R

One of our key objectives is utilizing gene technology to improve animal welfare.

High-Res Reporter

Increasing Resolution and Sensitivity

We are adopting and developing high resolution reporter systems to achieve increased spatiotemporal sensitivity and resolution.
